WHAT INTERNS SAY

“As a token of my appreciation for all that I have learned from each of you, here is something odd and symbolic of the time we’ve shared and what each of you has taught me on my counseling journey…

This claims to be a toothpick holder. However, what caught my eye were the two flowers – the yellow one in full bloom, the orange one a bit funky and disheveled. I’m thinking the orange one might need a little more water, possibly sunlight. There have been a number of times I have felt like that weird little orange flower and come to you (more than any other counselor) in hopes that you’d share some water and sunlight in the forms of information and reassurance, which you always have. Being able to do that definitely helped to boost my confidence, as well as feel okay about seeking assistance. I hope to one day be the full blossoming flower and share some water and sunlight with the goofy little flower. This, by the way, is probably the corniest I have ever sounded in my life. I have enjoyed getting to know you this year and hope the future brings you tons of great joy!”
