Taking Perspective On Your Self-Concept

Winter... There's a lot to believe in during this time of year. Believing in yourself is incredibly important and is not often made a priority, though.


Having a healthy view of yourself can make all the difference in your life!


Take a moment to reflect on yourself.

  • What have you done this year that you're proud of (e.g., accomplishments, good deeds, getting through a tough spot in life, overcoming setbacks)?

  • What qualities do you have that help you believe in yourself or your abilities?

  • What do you like about yourself?

If you're struggling, think of what others say about you.

  • What compliments do you receive?

  • What acknowledgements or accolades are you given?

  • Why do people say they like being around you?
